Hey readers,

So, I'm pretty sure that there are a few of you guys out there who live in the greater Los Angeles area.

Little known fact:  I also live in the greater Los Angeles area.

Even littler known fact:  I'm having a release party for Sophomore Undercover in Echo Park tomorrow.

Here are some details about that:

Where will this happen?
Stories (it's a bookstore) in Echo Park.  Their address is 1716 Sunset Blvd.  It's a very cool place.

When will this happen?  4 PM to 6 PM on Saturday.

Should you go?  Yes.

If any of you guys get the chance, it would be awesome for you to stop by.

Still need a little convincing?  Well, let me throw down a little persuasion.

Extra Reasons to go to the release party:

1.  i will sign your book.  Or anything else that you want signed.  You know, just so long as it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable or whatever (author's note:  the author gets easily uncomfortable).

2.  There will be special guest appearances from such celebrities as the LOL Brother, Jim Richmond, and a girl who almost got cast as "young Jodie Foster" in Contact.

3.  Cookies.

4.  I have a goodly bit of my self esteem tied into people coming to this thing.  So, if you'd like to help me out with that...well, I just think that would be swell.

Thanks a lot, guys!   I hope to see you out there!

My Birthday Wish 04/01/2009

If I had one birthday wish, I'd wish to be as good at anything as this guy is at pogo sticking.

But, seeing as that won’t be happening anytime soon, I guess I’ll just keep things simple:

To all the readers of benjaminesch.com

You guys are the greatest birthday gift of all.

...Besides a pony.

Or a gift certificate to The Black Angus.

You know, just plain old cash always makes for a pretty good gift, too.

Okay, maybe you guys don’t make for that good of a birthday gift, but I still appreciate the heck out of you guys.

Thank you.

Here’s to another year of Nic Cage videos and me writing about video games and stuff.
